Audi B5 S4 2.7t JAE RS6 / RS4 Turbos 4646 (Oversized High Flow Turbine)
We are pleased to offer our next iteration custom specification turbos. These turbos utilize an RS4 compressor housing and RS6 turbine housing, larger then OEM RS6 compressor wheel and a larger then OEM high flow RS6 turbine wheel.
The larger turbine wheels allows us to lower back pressure limited by housing sizes which lets the engine breathe easier. This combination has been proven to make 20 PSI by 3300 RPM on an 82.5mm piston motor running Ethanol (mods and engine health will change these characteristics).
These will easily make 500whp on 94+Meth with a stock motor and 620whp+ on E70+Meth with just aftermarket connecting rods.
The turbine wheel utilizes a 5x blade design turbine wheel to further decrease backpressure
This turbo is perfect for a stock motor setup even with stock fueling as the turbo is doing much less work to provide the power. This means lower IAT's with a slower spinning turbo which extends its life. When you decide to begin upgrading the supporting mods you will not have to repurchase a turbo to hit your power goals in the 600whp range. A comparison to make is that if you are just upgrading to stock RS4 turbos you are still simply creating and OEM stage 2 setup where the power drop off can be felt sharply in the upper RPM, it is not a true performance upgrade above an beyond what the OEM supplied.
The lag is far from an issue and is barely noticeable vs this sharp power drop off on smaller turbos, you can easily downshift to reduce the lag, you can not magically change your smaller turbo into a larger one while driving.
These turbos are supplied only with Tial waste gate actuators and also with upgraded true SUS310 waste gate flaps.
We recommend using only an ignition retard based RAL and a softer NLS strategy. The upgraded flaps along with proper tuning with GREATLY reduce the chances of the wastegate rod connecting the flap to the lever arm twisting and requiring adjustment via the wastegate arm.
